Giant Pandas!! |
Overview
People may ask why is this adorable creature endangered? The Giant Panda is an endangered species because of habitat destruction. As the population of people in China continues to grow, this pushes Giant Pandas into smaller and less areas for them to live.
Survival Status
Why would anyone want to hurt such an adorable animal? There is about 2,000 to 3,000 pandas left in the world. The Giant Pandas support the WWF which stands for (World Wide Fund for Nature) and they help them so the population of Pandas can grow.
Conservation
Although deforestation is a reason why Giant Pandas are endangered, other factors have contributed to the decline. For example, the diet of the Giant Panda is almost entirely made up of bamboo. Despite adaptations, however, the Panda’s digestive systems are still set up for the animals to be carnivores.
